While on the same hand if it is worn with the heart point facing the wrist, it symbolizes that the person is already in a committed relationship.

If the ring is worn on the ring finger of the left hand then it would mean the person is married or engaged. When the heart point is upwards it means the person is engaged and when it is downwards it signifies marriage.
